I hope you are good and keeping yourself busy. Helping parents with the chores, trying out some new activities and keeping your brains active.
Today I popped into school and thought what a shame it was that your parents (and the world) wouldn't get the opportunity to see your beautiful self-portraits.
These portraits were influenced by our artist in focus, Frida Kahlo, who was a surrealist painter and often portrayed her feelings and political beliefs through her works.
After the class visited the National Portrait Gallery a couple of weeks ago, they were inspired to paint their own portraits using the influence of Frida's pain to depict emotion. I couldn't be more proud of all the love, dedication and tenacity that went it to making this so really Year 5, a huge well done!
